King von Areia is a wonderful 1-2 year old German Shepherd. This handsome big boy likes to take his time getting familiar with new places and new faces. Perhaps he wasn't exposed to much in his prior life.  Now he might start off unsure or even get a little scared, leaning on you to reassure him everything is okay.  Once comfortable, he is very sweet and enjoys affection, and we just know he'll thrive with a confident owner who helps him feel secure.  At a recent outside event, King was alert and curious about everything. He seemed rather more confident around other dogs.  At the rescue he may start off a little shy  around dogs, but does well both on and off-leash.  He sees the others running around and having fun and he tries his best to join in.  With some more socializing, he will come even more out of his shell. Our handsome hunk is finding his confidence day by day and is ready to make the next leap forward in his life: moving to his forever home, wherever that may be, even out-of-state.
